Be the People – A Call to Reclaim America’s Faith & Promise is a call to arms for a nation that has drifted far from the moorings of its’ foundation.

Tackling such difficult topics as religion, race, immigration and the decline and decay of the family, Dr. Swain does an admirable job of placing these issues out on the table – arguing that it is well beyond time for us to have grown up discussions on these issues.

The book not only provides for historical perspectives when addressing these issues, but presents at the end of each chapter a call to arms with challenges to the reader to become active. The last chapter of the book again proves to be an inspiration for the reader to do more than complain. The author weaves in the Old Testament story of Caleb – one of the two original spies sent into the Promised Land. Caleb was promised that the land upon which he walked would be his. It took 45 years from that original promise, but Caleb, at the age of 85, approaches Joshua and says, “Give me my mountain!” Pure determination. If we are to see our nation successful again, we must be determined in our approach to return this nation to its moral foundation!

If you like reading about the founding of our nation, you would enjoy reading this book. I recommend this book to all and urge you to get involved!
